I'm new, what can I expect?
First of all, thank you for checking us out! Here are the things you can expect when you come to visit the church:
The Livingston Free Methodist Church does not have a dress code. We have people who wear suits to those who wear blue jeans. Please feel free to dress casually but respectfully.
You will be greeted at the main entrance when you arrive. Our greeters will be happy to help you find your way around and locate bathrooms and our children's area.
You will receive a bulletin that has our worship schedule for that day, announcements and other information. There is a tear-off information section of the bulletin that you can fill in and give to the greeters.
There are children's bulletins, books, and bags with pencils and crayons for your children to use during the service. Please return them at the end of the service. The greeter will help you find them.
We have coffee and water available for you to enjoy before the service. Cups with lids are provided for you.
We have a children's church program available for your children ages 2-6. They are invited to go to children's church about midway through the worship service. Let the greeter know if you would like to meet the children's church leader before the service.
Every Sunday we collect an offering for the ongoing ministry of the church. We don't pass plates, but there is an offering plate at the rear of the sanctary for you to place your offering in. We also have online giving available through Tithe.ly. You can find the green GIVE button on the home page of the website.
On the first Sunday of every month we take communion. Communion is open to anyone who attends. We ask parents to decide if their young children take communion or not.
Our Sunday morning service is streamed live starting at 9:30 AM.
